My Approach to Therapy

When we experience trauma, loss, systemic oppression, or major life transitions, these experiences can deeply affect our mental, emotional, and physical well-beingmaking distress feel overwhelming and hard to escape. I support individuals in healing from trauma and chronic stress by creating a safe, compassionate, and collaborative therapeutic relationship grounded in trust, curiosity, consent, and attunement. My goal is to help you cultivate nervous system regulation, emotional resilience, and a renewed sense of agency. As a first-generation Pakistani American therapist, I provide culturally responsive, identity-affirming care for individuals navigating BIPOC experiences, bicultural stress, intergenerational patterns, and systemic oppression. I honor existing survival strategies while supporting clients in developing value-aligned ways of responding to pain. My approach is trauma-informed, attachment-based, and grounded in an anti-oppressive framework. I integrate attachment theory, polyvagal theory, Coherence Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I specialize in complex trauma (C-PTSD), anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, identity exploration, relationship challenges, and life transitions.
