I have a Master of Social Work, a post-master’s certificate in structural family therapy, and a PhD in public health. I’m also a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (Level 2) with over 30 years of experience as a clinical social worker. I’ve been in private practice as a psychotherapist for over 20 years, focusing on working with adults who identify as Black, Indigenous, and other people of color, as well as individuals, couples, and families.
My therapeutic approach is centered around normalizing rather than pathologizing, within a person-centered, decolonized framework. I provide services through a Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)-compliant telehealth platform. Focus areas include anxiety, trauma recovery, including discrimination and racism, high-achieving professionals experiencing burnout, relationship issues, men’s mental health, and women’s mental health.
I have provided clinical supervision for social workers seeking licensure for over 20 years.
