My Approach to Therapy
I have over 15 years of combined experience in health and human services and social work, serving people with addiction, chronic and severe mental health challenges, people experiencing homelessness, people with HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) and sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), people in the LGBTQIA+ community, veterans, couples, and families. Roman believes in the intrinsic value, dignity, worth, and full truth of every person. His treatment specialties include mood challenges, substance use, anxiety, depression, trauma, crisis, stress management, relationships, Illness Management and Recovery for people with severe mental illness, and crisis intervention.
I am trained and skilled in several therapy modalities, mindfulness-based cognitive behavioral therapy, for psychosis, Cognitive Adaptation Training, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), solution-focused brief therapy, and motivational interviewing.
Being vulnerable is one of the most difficult challenges any individual can face, but vulnerability empowers us to face our most difficult barriers. When we do this, we are not only empowering ourselves, but also equipping ourselves to manage life on life's terms. I invite you to take the next step and reach out.
