Hello all! My primary specialization is addiction counseling for both addicts and their loved ones. I work with a multitude of addictive disorders such as alcohol use, drug abuse, gambling, sexual addiction, video game addiction, and other behavioral addictions. Unlike traditional therapy that focuses on treating the person's addiction or psychological condition, I treat the entire person. I am a faith-based, holistic addictions counseling practice that treats my clients' mind, body, and spirit. Research indicates that when multiple aspects of a person's being are treated and engaged at the same time, the greater the outcome for success. I provide a safe environment to help my clients acquire positive coping skills, education about their addiction, new perspectives on recovery, form a recovery support network, and a relationship with God. Recovery is about treating the person, not just the addiction. I also offer services for family members since addiction is a family disease that can affect people in the greater system. Due to the sensitive nature of addiction, it is important to seek help from someone who understands. Having had my own personal recovery experience, I understand and relate to the challenges of maintaining one's recovery on a daily basis. I offer a safe, warm, non-judgmental environment in order to partner with my clients as we embark on a life towards recovery, healing, and restoration.
