Our relationships directly impact the way we feel in body and mind and our physical and emotional well-being are inextricably intertwined, which guides our work in therapy. Because of this, its crucial to cultivate balance in our social, physical, spiritual and emotional selves. We learn from our world and each other in many ways, including observation, struggle, collaboration and love. My approach embraces the biopsychosocial model, placing emphasis on whats built in genetically, learned psychologically and experienced environmentally, both past and present. I use this perspective to understand where people are coming from, meeting them where they are with nonjudgment and acceptance. Good food and a sense of humor are my favorite things. In my free time, I enjoy playing and coaching volleyball. I adore a good movie any day of the week. In my book, home improvement projects are best when theyre impulsive and creative. My often paint-stained hands, arms and sportswear honor my projects. Most of all, I love spending time with my dogs and family.
