As a practitioner who values self-determination and the individual wisdom of each of my clients, I aim to find what is most helpful to each person based on their unique needs. I see my role as offering space that supports the personal growth process for those in distress or in search of greater meaning in their lives. This may be through cognitive restructuring, behavioral experimentation, compassion-focused techniques, acceptance and commitment strategies, or the interpersonal process.
I have specialized training in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), individual resiliency training (IRT), and compassion-focused therapy (CFT), and I have spent my career working with adults experiencing a variety of mental health concerns, with special attention to distress related to depression, anxiety, psychosis, mania, self-esteem, life transitions, and loss.
Research validates that one of the most important contributors to change and personal growth is the therapeutic relationship. Therefore, please do not hesitate to contact me if you would like to schedule a brief initial meeting, via telehealth or in person, so you can better assess whether I may be a good, supportive fit.
