What's My Approach to Therapy?

The rebels I work with are notably like you. You’re unsettled on Sunday when you think about all the things you didn’t get done last week. You’ve considered stepping into a paralegal’s role to get up from under the pressure of being an attorney, but who are you kidding, paralegals do more work than anyone else. You’ve worked extra hours every night, you hired Jessica to limit the chaos in your space, and you’ve devoted yourself to relationships so much that you hurtled into them and didn’t understand why he wasn’t doing the same. My fellow rule-follower, your attempts haven’t worked because you are longing to be seen. You’ve valued performance and accolades and don’t quite know how to be without them. In my approach, you will uncover how your primary communities were tasked with creating a sense of belonging within you, but instead you were an outcast. I see you. With me, you no longer have to prove yourself, you can be yourself.

My View on the Purpose of Psychotherapy

You miss the mark when you don't constantly have a safe place to talk things out. Counseling with me is that space to get it out and make space for what you actually want.
