What's My Approach to Therapy?

I believe balance is fundamental to health and psychological wellbeing. My approach integrates both scientific understanding and spiritual insight, reflecting my view that human beings are inherently multidimensional. I draw from a variety of evidence-based and experiential approaches, including CBT, Somatic Experiencing, Hakomi Body-Centered Psychotherapy, Internal Family Systems, Mindfulness and Meditation, and a Strengths-Based Perspective, alongside influences from Eastern and Western Philosophies and Contemplative Spirituality. My style is laid back, curious, and motivating. My office is colorful, plant-filled, and supported by a soft ambient soundscape- designed to invite reflection, not pressure. Whether you're seeking deep change or smaller adjustments, we'll go at your pace, helping you understand your emotions and respond with intention rather than reaction.

My Practice & Services

What I Do: - Help you experience and process your emotions without suppressing or being overwhelmed by them - Help you work *with* your emotions instead of being run by them - Help you access different points of view, so you can access different feelings - Help you realize you *always* have agency and choice - Help to realign the synergy between your spirit, mind, and body - Help you build capacity so you don't avoid difficulty, and in turn live with a sense of freedom - Help you reconnect with your imagination - the creative interface with reality! - Help inspire a renewed sense of purpose for living - Help you become aware of what’s most meaningful to you, and to place more attention there My passions: My family, including my Bernedoodle therapy sidekick Baloo. Learning and exploring the nature of consciousness; Traveling; Music- funk, jazz, blues, world, hip-hop, rock, and playing drums; Snowboarding, surfing, moving my body, and the outdoors. You're welcome to reach out and see if this feels like a good place to begin!
