What's My Approach to Therapy?
I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation, grief and loss, relationship challenges, identity exploration, and life transitions. Drawing from DBT, ACT, and psychodynamic approaches, I offer a compassionate, mindful, and collaborative style that helps you understand your emotions, build practical skills, and move toward a more balanced and meaningful life. I strive to create a nonjudgmental environment where we can work together to learn the principles of being in the present moment while also developing techniques to build self-acceptance and self-compassion. My Practice & Services
You might be here because your mind won’t slow down, or because anxiety, sadness, or grief has made daily life feel heavy. Maybe you’re feeling stuck, dealing with emotional dysregulation, or finding it hard to stay grounded during stressful moments. Perhaps relationships feel disconnected, or you’re questioning your identity. The search for a counselor or therapist can be overwhelming. I aim to present a clear and comprehensive picture of my services and approach to therapy. I strive to create an environment where my clients feel accepted, safe, and understood. You are the expert in your life. My job is to make sure that you are utilizing all your expertise.
How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist
I have lived experience in coping with emotional instability, depression, mood swings, and anxiety. Therapists are people too, and I believe that my experience makes me incredibly useful in connecting with clients who have struggled with similar issues. I can't guarantee that what has worked for me will work for you. Still, I'm confident that my understanding, empathy, and lived experience can help you feel seen, understood, and validated for having mood disorders that occur inside you.
