My Approach to Therapy
I believe therapy should feel like a space where you no longer have to carry everything alone. Many of the people I work with have spent years staying strong for others, pushing through stress, trauma, relationship challenges, cultural pressures, or major life transitions while quietly struggling underneath. Together, we create a space where you can slow down, feel understood, and begin reconnecting with yourself in a way that feels safe, grounded, and sustainable.
My approach is warm, collaborative, trauma-informed, and culturally sensitive. I draw from evidence-based approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, somatic-based strategies, and strengths-based interventions, while always adapting therapy to the unique needs, identity, and lived experience of each client. I believe healing happens not only through coping skills and insight, but also through feeling genuinely seen, supported, and emotionally safe within the therapeutic relationship.
As a bilingual therapist offering services in both English and Spanish, I am especially passionate about supporting individuals navigating immigration experiences, identity struggles, anxiety, emotional overwhelm, self-esteem challenges, relationship difficulties, and trauma. I understand how culture, family expectations, and life transitions can deeply impact mental health, and I aim to provide care that feels compassionate, affirming, and accessible.
Whether you are feeling emotionally exhausted, disconnected from yourself, overwhelmed by your emotions, or simply tired of surviving on autopilot, therapy can be a place to better understand your patterns, strengthen coping, process difficult experiences, and move toward a life that feels more balanced and meaningful.
