Nji Fru, Advanced Practice Registered Nurse

Dr. Nji Fru provides critical evaluations during crisis intervention and makes referrals for further diagnosis or psychiatric hospitalization when needed. Dr. Fru conducts interviews with patients to gain insight into their individual concerns. Dr. Fru applies appropriate patient assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with accepted standards of care and regulatory requirements. Dr. Fru delivers non-threatening support to distressed patients by using de-escalation techniques to help them manage their emotions and behavior. Dr. Fru provides behavioral health and recovery services and prescribes psychotropic medications. Dr. Fru interviews patients about symptoms and complaints to help determine whether a psychiatric condition has a physiological or emotional basis. Dr. Fru screens patients for physical illness and considers possible explanations for psychiatric symptoms. Dr. Fru monitors patients on medications and documents treatment outcomes. Dr. Fru conducts psychiatric clinical assessments for patients experiencing emotional distress and mental health challenges.
