What's My Approach to Therapy?
I'm Nicole Wilkinson, a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor II and a Primary Therapist. My journey in the recovery community, particularly in the Greater Boston area, has been both enriching and humbling. With a BS from Bryant and certification from UMASS Boston, my educational and professional experiences have shaped my approach to helping those struggling with drug addiction and alcoholism.
My purpose and passion lie in guiding individuals to find their own purpose and navigate the challenges of early sobriety. I believe in a holistic approach to recovery, recognizing that addiction is not just an individual problem but also a family and community issue. This understanding informs my work, not only with individuals but also in providing family counseling.
A key focus of my approach is on long-term recovery and future-focused goal fulfillment. I work collaboratively with my clients to set realistic, achievable goals, helping them to build a vision for their future that motivates and guides their recovery journey. I strive to empower my clients, helping them to recognize and harness their strengths, develop resilience, and foster a sense of hope and possibility.
My approach to healing at Rockland Recovery is centered on understanding each individual's unique journey, using a range of therapeutic tools to support their path to recovery, and empowering them to lead a life of purpose, fulfillment, and long-term sobriety.
