My Approach to Helping
Feeling anxious, stuck, or just tired of carrying so much on your own? Feeling like you’re surviving but not thriving?
Maybe your brain won’t slow down, you’re constantly feeling overwhelmed by your emotions, and always on edge. Or maybe you’ve been carrying old wounds for a long time—family stuff, trauma, relationship struggles, grief. You might be struggling with the general chaos of being a human in the world right now. You may be questioning your identity, navigating life in a world that often misunderstands you, or feeling exhausted from simply trying to hold it all together.
If any of this feels familiar, you’re not alone.
Hi, I'm Nicole! As a queer therapist, I am passionate about working with LGBTQIA+ folks who are navigating trauma, identity exploration, anxiety, depression, and burnout. Many of the people I work with have histories of complex trauma, emotional neglect, harmful relationships, or traumatic loss. Others are looking for a safe, affirming space to unpack internalized shame, reconnect with their bodies, and learn new ways of connecting to themselves and others.
I draw from a variety of evidence-based and trauma-informed modalities to best fit your unique needs, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), trauma-informed CBT (TF-CBT), mindfulness-based tools, and somatic practices. Therapy is a partnership - together, we’ll work to untangle old patterns, reconnect with your body and emotions, and build tools that actually make life feel more livable.
I believe healing isn’t about becoming someone new—it’s about becoming you. If you’re ready to start that process, I’d love to connect and see if we’re a good fit.
