Nicole Lyman, Licensed Associate Professional Counselor

My name is Nicole Lyman (she/they). I am a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor with 2 years of experience working with young adults, adults, and seniors. I like to explore your strengths and personalized goals so you can cope more effectively with life’s challenges and move toward resilience and growth. My ideal clients experience a range of issues, often rooted in chronic stress or trauma, including anxiety, depression, adjustment issues, life transitions, trauma, posttraumatic stress (PTSD), relationship concerns, self-esteem, or grief. I also have experience working with clients who identify as LGBTQIA+ and people on the autism spectrum.

I have a background in mindfulness, trauma-informed, and social justice approaches, meaning you can expect a focus on exploring a holistic view of yourself and your presenting concerns. Collaboratively, I support clients in defining what growth and resilience mean to them, and in building toward meaningful engagement with life and an improved sense of their own strengths. The first step in growth is accepting the need for change. Therapy is a place to reflect on ourselves and our complex identities, experiences, and goals.
