What's My Approach to Therapy?
Nichole Accetta is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and adult-gerontological primary care nurse practitioner (AGPCNP-BC) with over 25 years of diverse clinical experience. Her wide-ranging background includes work in psychiatry, cardiology, cardiac care, and interventional radiology.
Nichole’s approach is integrative and person-centered, ensuring treatment plans are highly personalized. She blends psychotherapy and medication management with a focus on comprehensive well-being, utilizing her training in accelerated resolution therapy (ART) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT). She feels comfortable managing many mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, bipolar condition, obsessive-compulsive condition (OCD), panic attacks, co-occurring chronic pain, and substance use difficulties. At this time, Nichole is unable to prescribe federally controlled medication.
Nichole’s commitment to education is extensive: she has completed her post-master's certificate in psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner from Saginaw Valley State University. She also holds a Master of Science from the University of California, specializing in adult-gerontological nurse practitioner and occupational-environmental health nursing.
