I have a collaborative approach to therapy, involving client(s) in the process of setting goals and therapeutic interventions. For men's therapy, I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, and Attachment-Based Therapy. For couple's therapy, I utilize Emotion Focused Therapy, Attachment-Based Therapy, and the Gottman Method. The goal for these approaches is to equip clients with healthy coping techniques and explore the causes of the client(s) symptoms underneath the surface. This combined approach helps clients cope as symptoms emerge while working toward overall freedom from the problem underneath the surface. For couples, the same goals apply, but we add a focus on communication and connection. These two areas are incredibly vital to the long-term success of a relationship, and are also difficult to maintain without the proper helpdirection.
