What's My Approach to Therapy?
My passion and specialization is Anxiety, whether it is a result of trauma, or an inherited Anxiety Disorder such as Panic Disorder or OCD. My typical clients experience Panic Attacks, Trauma Flashbacks, Feelings of Unreality, Night Terrors, Feelings of Detachment, Flying Phobia, Fear of DeathSuicide, Losing Control, Fear of Going Insane, Fear of Open Spaces, Fear of EmbarrassmentRejection, Fear of Being Trapped, Panic While Driving, Violent Intrusive Thoughts, Checking Compulsions, Constant Daily Anxiety about Work, Love Life, and Transitions.
If you feel plagued by constant rumination, compulsions, flashbacks or nightmares, I would love to help. I incorporate therapies including ERP and ACT for OCD (BTTI trained), EMDR, Parts Work, and Somatic Experiencing for traumatic stress. My practice is sex positive and celebrates all cultural backgrounds, ethnicities, genders, sexes, and sexual orientations. I am a member of the National Coalition for Sexual Freedom as a Kink knowledgeable therapist. I offer special insight into middle eastern Iranian-American culture and speak Farsi.

My own struggle with Panic Disorder, and OCD has deeply enriched my practice. Knowing these issues on a personal level helps me to accurately diagnose and treat them much more quickly and effectively.
