What's My Approach to Therapy?
With nearly three decades of experience, I provide warm, collaborative therapy that fosters deep and lasting change. My practice, available to clients in Washington, DC, Maryland, and California, offers a dedicated space for thoughtful exploration -- a place to feel heard, understood, supported, while also being gently challenged when needed. Together, we explore the patterns, experiences, and emotions that shape your life with the intention to help you cultivate the internal strength and resilience needed to identify and live a more fulfilling life.
Whether you're struggling with unsatisfying or difficult relationships, significant losses, navigating transitions, anxiety, trauma, or perhaps you're simply feeling stuck or confused, together we will work to understand how your life experiences shaped you, helping you find your own path forward with clarity and intention.
Sometimes therapy will be focused on having the support and guidance to work through past experiences. Other times it will be providing the hope and scaffolding needed to discover aspects of yourself until you are confident enough to make personal changes. Often it is a blend of both of these things.
Whatever you are experiencing, working with a therapist who offers compassion and a discerning ear provides a unique relationship where the focus is on you, your challenges and your potential for growth. When you're ready to explore what’s been weighing on you, let's meet in a space created specifically to feel heard and understood.
I offer highly personalized therapy while ensuring the process remains practical and effective. In addition to talk therapy I may integrate mind-body techniques such as somatic awareness, EMDR, and 12-Step support when appropriate. My goal is to help you tap into your strengths and emotional resilience, while supporting you in making meaningful changes that lead to a richer, more rewarding life.
