My Approach to Therapy
My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and individualized. I believe meaningful change begins with feeling understood, building a strong therapeutic relationship, and creating space to explore the experiences that have shaped who you are. I draw from different therapeutic approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), relational perspectives, and psychodynamic perspectives, to understand both the patterns you're experiencing now and the deeper experiences that may contribute to them.
Together, we work to make sense of your thoughts, emotions, relationships, and behaviors while developing practical tools to help you navigate challenges in your daily life. I place emphasis on self-compassion, understanding yourself beyond your struggles, and recognizing how your relationships, culture, identity, and past experiences influence the way you see yourself and the world around you.
Whether you're navigating anxiety, obsessive-compulsive challenges (OCD), relationship difficulties, or a period of transition, my goal is to help you feel more connected to yourself, build trust in your own experiences, and move toward a life that feels more meaningful and aligned with who you want to be. Therapy isn't about changing who you are; it's about better understanding yourself and creating room for growth.
