My Approach to Therapy

I believe therapy should feel human, practical, and useful. My style is direct, supportive, and collaborative, with a focus on helping you understand what is getting in the way and what can actually help you move forward. I work with children, teens, college students, and young adults navigating anxiety, ADHD and neurodivergence, emotional overwhelm, relationship stress, behavioral concerns, substance use, and major life transitions. I often incorporate DBT, solution-focused therapy, person-centered care, and family systems work, depending on what fits the person in front of me. I try to balance validation with challenge. I want clients to feel understood, but I also want therapy to help create meaningful change outside of the session. My goal is to build a space where you can be honest, feel less judged, and leave with a clearer sense of what comes next.

On the Fence About Going to Therapy?

Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially when you're not sure where to start, what to say, or whether what you're experiencing is "enough" to need support. You don't have to have it all figured out before showing up. Therapy isn't about someone telling you how to live your life or magically fixing everything. It's about having a space to be honest, gain perspective, and figure out what actually works for you. I'll meet you where you are, validate what you're going through, and gently challenge you when it might help you grow. You don't have to be in crisis to benefit from therapy, and you certainly don't need to have all the answers. Sometimes, being willing to start the conversation is enough.
