My Approach to Helping
I am committed to helping and advocating for individuals who are marginalized, underrepresented, and whose voices are unheard. I have received training in several treatment modalities to help individuals navigate through their depression, anxiety, trauma, and other distressing life experiences. I am passionate about bringing awareness and implementing evidence-based interventions to address topics related to the inner critic, imposter syndrome, body image, negative self-talk, life transitions, generational trauma, and self-esteem.
As a first-generation Latinx woman, I acknowledge the stigmas surrounding mental health that often lead to shame, silence, and avoidance. I recognize that connecting with individuals of diverse cultures is vital for promoting optimal well-being. I am committed to demonstrating cultural sensitivity to ensure my clients have a supportive and secure space to explore their uniquely lived experiences. Clients are the experts of their own lives, and I acknowledge that each person has their own set of unique strengths. I believe that everyone deserves to be seen, heard, valued, and healed.
