I became a therapist because I experienced firsthand how powerful therapy can be. My own journey in counseling changed the course of my life, and I saw how understanding and working with my emotions—rather than against them—opened doors I didn’t know existed. That experience stayed with me, and I realized I wanted to help others discover that same possibility for themselves.
I enjoy using Emotion-Focused Therapy, helping teens and adults learn to understand, process, and regulate their emotions effectively. While EFT is my foundation, I draw from multiple evidence-based approaches—including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Dialectic Behavioral Therapy- and tailor treatments for each client.
As a Nationally Certified Counselor and Certified Advanced Grief Counseling Specialist, I provide compassionate support through life's challenges. With expertise in EMDR, Gottman Method Couples Therapy (Level 2), and as a PREPAREENRICH facilitator, I offer evidence-based solution for individual healing, relationship growth, and trauma recovery.
What I Usually Need to Know to Help
To best support you, it helps to know a little about what's bringing you to therapy at this time. Whether it's a specific struggle you're facing, a pattern you keep finding yourself in, or simply a feeling that something needs to change. I also find it helpful to understand what your relationships look like, how you tend to experience and express your emotions, and what has or hasn't worked for you in the past. For couples, I like to get a sense of where you feel most disconnected and what strengths you already bring to the relationship. Most importantly, I want to know what you're hoping to feel or experience differently, because your goals shape everything we do together.
