My Approach to Helping
My name is Michelle and I am from rural Saskatchewan. I have had the pleasure of working in non-profit, educational, and hospital settings in addition to my current experience in private practice. My specialty areas of practice are working with Trauma, PTSD, ADHD, as well as anxiety and depression. My approach to therapy includes a combination of exploring limiting beliefs (often formed in childhood) and working toward changing unhealthy patterns as a result of these limiting beliefs. I often integrate Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy techniques and attachment work in my sessions to best meet the needs of my clients. In couples therapy I take a non-judgmental non-biased approach to helping all couples work on improving communication, building connection and conflict resolution. In my work I strive to be culturally competent and approach each persons unique identity from a stance of cultural humility. I would be honored to explore with you the darkest and brightest corners of your experience in hopes of inspiring positive change in your life.
