Melissa Jones, Licensed Professional Counselor

My name is Melissa Jones and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in the state of Georgia working with clients statewide via telehealth. I work with adolescents and specialize in grief and stress using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help adolescents develop problem-solving skills.

The tone that I create working with adolescents is one of acceptance and motivation for change. Students enjoy meeting with me because I actively listen, validate their feelings, use humor once rapport is established, and accept them where they are. They feel that it is safe to be open and honest without the fear of being judged.
