What's My Approach to Therapy?

Our core values are rooted in positivity, joy, hope, and advocacy.

Our mission is to provide compassionate, evidence-based psychotherapy that empowers clients to heal, grow, and thrive. Guided by our core values of positivity, joy, hope, and advocacy, we partner with individuals, couples, and families to foster resilience, cultivate meaningful change, and support the creation of a joyful and fulfilling life.

MA Jean-Charles Psychotherapy and Consulting, LLC, provides psychodynamic therapy to individuals, couples, and families of color. Our practice was founded to address the shortage of private practices focused on the unique needs of communities of color. In today’s climate, the experience of otherness is often more acute, and when combined with challenges such as depression, anxiety, posttraumatic stress (PTSD), marital or relationship stress, and racial trauma, life can feel especially overwhelming.

Our goal is to promote healing and emotional growth by offering a safe, affirming space where clients can develop the skills to manage mental health symptoms and build resilience. In addition to psychotherapy, we provide life coaching services designed to foster self-efficacy and empower clients to live fuller, more confident, and meaningful lives.
