My Approach to Therapy

“You can never fly higher than your angels can protect.” As a liberal African American woman, I understand the need for a safe space. Maxi Malone-Deese is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas who serves San Antonio. She has a wide range of experience across many settings. Maxi has worked alongside Child Protective Services. She has experience supporting individuals and families from diverse races, backgrounds, and socioeconomic statuses, offering cultural sensitivity and quality, individualized care. She has worked with a wide variety of age groups, from toddlers to seniors, and has specialties in couples work, geriatrics, women ages 18-40, and minorities. She is well-versed in anxiety, depression, life transition issues, family conflict, and self-worth.

My Practice & Services

Maxi received her Master’s in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University. Maxi has experience in private practice, agency settings, and state hospitals.
