My Approach to Therapy

Are you looking for a space where you can safely explore and expand your perspectives, developing greater flexibility in how you respond to whatever life throws your way? Maybe you're struggling with major life transitions or feeling like you're losing your sense of self. Maybe depression or anxiety is more common than not, and you could use a trusted mental health professional’s support. I’m here to be an ally who can provide tools as you navigate these challenges. Drawing on your unique culture, identities, and experiences, I will work with you to cultivate a deeper awareness of your complexities and build a meaningful life. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Oregon. My approach draws on a number of modalities, including humanistic-existential therapy, which emphasizes your personal growth, your unique experience, and your search for meaning or contentment. I also utilize acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) to offer an evidence-based approach that can bring relief for a variety of psychological concerns. I became a therapist because I believe we can all find greater clarity and peace when we have the support, time, and space to explore and reflect on our existence. My goal is to make space for you to explore where you’ve come from, where you are, and where you’re going, and to collaborate with you to create a fulfilling, meaningful existence.

My Practice & Services

I offer telehealth and in-person counseling in the Sellwood area. I'm available most weekdays and in the evenings. Reach out and say hi!

My Guiding Ethical Principles

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Portland State University and a Master of Arts in Professional Mental Health Counseling from Lewis & Clark College's Graduate School of Education and Counseling, a CACREP-accredited program. I am a Professional Counselor Associate in Oregon, licensed by the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists and subject to its Code of Ethics, with ongoing continuing education each year. To maintain registered Professional Counselor Associate status, I participate in clinical supervision with Krystal Marcinkiewicz, MA, LPC (OR & GA), LMHC (WA), as permitted by licensing regulations. I provide empirically based, non-judgmental counseling in a space that is inclusive of cultures, beliefs, sexual orientations, gender identities, ages, body sizes, and stages of life.
