My Approach to Therapy

I work with clients who are navigating the impact of past trauma, experiencing suicidal thoughts, or engaging in self-harming behaviors. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in meeting you where you are in your healing journey. Using a combination of eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), narrative therapy, and person-centered approaches, I help clients explore their experiences at a pace that feels safe and manageable, build readiness for trauma-focused work, and move toward healing and greater self-understanding. I also incorporate elements of Geek Therapy, drawing on clients’ interests and passions to strengthen therapeutic connections, reinforce insights, and support meaningful growth beyond our sessions. I am also a Massachusetts Certified Clinical Supervisor (MaCCS), and I can provide clinical supervision to those seeking hours toward their Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) license in Massachusetts at reasonable rates.

My Practice & Services

I am a telehealth-based practice that offers morning sessions Monday through Sunday, between 6 a.m. and 12 p.m. I offer flexible scheduling. I have extensive experience in mobile crisis intervention and recognize that going to the hospital isn’t the only option. I work with clients to avoid that when appropriate.

My Role as a Therapist

My role as a therapist is to help support you through your mental health journey and be a guide while processing and exploring your past and how it affects your current self. By utilizing EMDR therapy methodology, we will explore and create better understandings about your past and how behaviors that might have helped you in the past are no longer working and meeting your current needs.

On the Fence About Going to Therapy?

If you are on the fence about going to therapy, I am a wonderful first step given my background of Crisis Intervention and being to help direct clients to more appropriate resources and explaining these resources in a way that is easy to understand and collaborative in nature.

My View on the Nature of 'Disorders'

My view on 'Disorders' is this; none of our brains are perfect and it can be incredibly difficult to categorize what symptoms are into neat boxes and provide a diagnosis. When I provide a diagnosis to a client, I explain my rational so that they can understand that generally their symptoms check off certain boxes as it relates to the criteria for the diagnosis and I will walk clients down the list and explain this with them as they wish to explore and develop better understanding.
