My Approach to Helping

I have provided psychotherapy in the Westminster and Arvada area since 1998 for adults experiencing Stress and Anxiety related concerns such as Panic Attacks, GAD (Generalized Anxiety Disorder), Phobias (like Agoraphobia and Specific Phobias), PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) and Fearfulness. I use a Mindfulness Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approach. I also work with individuals experiencing a wide variety of other concerns such as Depression, Grief & Loss, Life Transitions, Women's Issues, and Spiritual concerns, including Atheism, Agnosticism and Secular questioning.

CLASSES...

In addition to formal psychotherapy, I also offer the following 1.5 hr online private classes which are designed with women in mind and are for educational purposes only. Classes are structured to provide information for the student to take away with her and utilize on her own. These classes are different from psychotherapy in that there is no psychological assessment or in-depth therapy, and no diagnosis is provided for classes. Insurance is not accepted for classes as it is for psychotherapy. Your Private Class is scheduled after an initial phone screening and payment is made at the time of your class.

If you are interested in one of the following online Private Classes, please contact:

Theoretical Influences that Guide My Work

I like to focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness Based Therapy in order to help individuals recognize their faulty beliefs and unhelpful thinking styles. These techniques also help people learn ways to try to stay in the present moment in order to prevent being stuck in the past or excessively worried about the future.
