What's My Approach to Therapy?
I love anything to do with the beach. I enjoy watching sports and being active. My favorite activities are scuba diving and yoga. My favorite way to relax is to read books and watch movies. I love to work with kids and their families! I have been working with families, schools, and communities for the last 3 years to improve the availability of mental health treatment for adolescents and decrease the stigma attached to it.
First and foremost, we need to get to know each other. I enjoy getting to know new clients and understanding their goals. It is an honor to take this journey with clients to discover new strengths and uncover ones they didn't know they already possessed. Reaching out for help is difficult, and I will always work to destigmatize receiving mental health treatment.
I am trained in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), intensive outpatient therapy (IOP), and eco-systemic structural family therapy.
