Hello there and welcome! My name is Marissa Herrera and I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) working virtually in Georgia. My treatment approach is specific to each individual as I utilize trans-theoretical models of solution-focused behavioral therapy, cognitive behavior therapy, motivational interviewing, and embracing change therapy. I have a passion for helping individuals who are ready to get back to themselves. I believe everyone has the capacity to find their own truth, challenge negative belief systems, and learn more about their capabilities. My specialties range from treating individuals who have difficulty with cultural and gender identity challenges, adjustment issues, depression, anxiety, neurodevelopmental needs, and life stage changes.

I provide a safe and supportive rapport with each client. I want to make sure that anyone who works with me feels heard, seen, and supported. I believe the most important part of the therapeutic journey is having the right therapeutic fit between therapist and client.
