My Approach to Therapy
I work with adults and couples. Some of my specialties are relationship issues, grief, infidelity, intimacy issues, life transitions, anxiety, depression, relational trauma, attention-deficit hyperactivity (ADHD), and low self-worth. I work with clients who may be struggling with thought and behavior patterns that make them feel stuck.
I use a mix of therapy styles, including psychodynamic, relational, and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Psychodynamic therapy unpacks how your past shapes your present, relational therapy supports healthier ways of connecting with others, and CBT helps shift negative thought patterns with practical tools. I bring these approaches together in a deeply safe, completely non-judgmental space.
I believe that healing and growth happen when we are truly seen, valued, and empowered to direct our own lives. Therapy offers a transformative space to heal from past wounds, break deep-seated patterns, and build a meaningful future. My practice is built on true collaboration, working together as equals where your autonomy and self-direction are deeply respected. I honor and celebrate the full richness of clients’ identities, including culture, race, and history, viewing who you are as a profound source of strength. As an LGBTQIA+ safe and affirming space, I invite you to bring your full, authentic self to the journey of creating lasting change.
Had a Negative Therapy Experience?
Re-entering therapy after a bad experience takes real courage, but finding the right fit changes everything. As your therapist, my priority is to build trust by creating a warm, non-judgmental space where you feel completely safe to show up as you are. You can help shape this process by being open about what didn't work for you in the past and sharing what you need to feel secure—whether that means moving slowly, setting clear boundaries, or calling out moments that don't feel right. Therapy works best as a collaborative partnership, and by communicating your needs, we can tailor our work together to ensure you feel truly heard, respected, and supported every step of the way.
