My Approach to Therapy
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a diverse professional background and a thoughtful, collaborative approach to therapy. I work with individuals of all ages and backgrounds, offering a humanistic and integrative style of care that honors each persons unique experience. Therapy is tailored to your needs and goals and balance practical skill-building with reflection to support meaningful, sustainable change.
With a background in Exercise and Sports Sciences and advanced training in Yoga Therapy, I integrate mindbody approaches into therapy for clients who are open to this work. I am also a Florida Certified Sex Therapist and support individuals navigating sexual health, functioning, desire, arousal, anxiety related to sex, and relationship concerns.
I have extensive experience working with eating disorders and incorporate evidence-based approaches such as DBT, CBT, values-based work, and mindfulness to create individualized treatment plans. My professional experience spans a range of settings, including public schools, child welfare, the public defenders office, dual-diagnosis treatment centers, personal training, and bariatric mental health care.
In addition to my clinical work, I serve as Vice President of the Tampa chapter of the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals (IAEDP), where I am passionate about education, advocacy, and supporting professionals in the Tampa Bay community.
My goal is to help clients better understand and navigate the challenges they face while feeling supported, respected, and engaged in the process. I strive to create a secure, trusting therapeutic space tailored to your individual needs. Whether you are seeking healing, clarity, or personal growth, therapy is approached with care, collaboration, and intention.
