My Approach to Therapy

Whether you’re looking for a check-in, navigating major life changes, or simply trying to make small shifts, I would be honoured to support you on your journey. My work is grounded in a deep understanding of trauma, addiction, and the ways shame can show up in our lives. Whether you’re exploring sobriety, processing past wounds, or struggling with emotional overwhelm, I provide a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental space to explore what healing truly looks like for you. My goal is to meet you where you are. Together, we’ll uncover the roots of your pain, explore patterns that may no longer serve you, and build practical ways to regulate your nervous system and reclaim your sense of self. I am formally trained in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), clinical hypnosis, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and somatic therapy. I also pull from a parts work approach. These are evidence-based approaches that support lasting change. Therapy can be heavy, but it can also be empowering. I bring warmth, curiosity, and even a bit of humor into the work when it feels right, because healing doesn’t have to be cold or clinical to be effective. Let’s talk about what you need and how I can support you.
