My Approach to Therapy

Lydia Sharp is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) from Virginia, with five years of experience assisting children, adolescents, and adults with issues such as anxiety, depression, attention-deficit hyperactivity (ADHD), mood-related challenges, anger problems, and other complex psychiatric conditions.

My Practice & Services

Lydia earned her master’s degree in nursing education. She previously served over 26 years in the military in a variety of patient settings, including medical-surgical nursing, perioperative nursing at Walter Reed Army Hospital, and as a nurse administrator serving in Army Combat Support Hospitals located in California and Fort Bragg, among other roles. She also gained direct psychiatric experience and knowledge by working in a behavioral health service community health clinic, which was part of a behavioral school for troubled youth. Lydia prescribes and manages medications, diagnoses and assesses psychiatric concerns, helps identify health goals, records symptoms and concerns, provides therapeutic treatment, and educates clients and their families about mental health. Partner with Lydia to find the treatment methods that work best for you.
