My Approach to Therapy

I practice a form of psychotherapy that includes creativity to go beyond traditional talk therapy. I have over 20 years of clinical experience working with people of all ages and teaching and supervising graduate art therapy students. My goal with with everyone I work with is simple, I want you to remember who you are. You have inner wisdom, confidence and strengths that can become hard to access in a challenging world. Therapy can be one of the most important experiences of your life. Your first session will consist of talking about why you want to find help and learning about what I have to offer. Together, we will come up with a plan that might involve creating some form of artwork designed to help you think about your life and issues or we may decide that talk therapy is the preferred form of therapy for you. I am here for you. I will meet you where you are at emotionally. I will listen to your story, your struggles, your memories. Together, we will sort through your pain and confusion and bring your world into focus through creativity and discussion. Psychotherapy can be life changing. Contact me today; we will begin an exciting journey together.
