My Approach to Helping
Change can be scary, but I do believe in the power of each individual to make positive changes in hisher life. By being in the moment with my clients, I can help tailor a treatment plan that is specialized to a specific targeted behavior or area of concern. Providing a safe and comfortable therapeutic environment allows the client to work at hisher own pace to achieve those goals. I work with individuals of all ages, couples, and families. I believe it is important to understand the individual's family of origin and the role that it plays in shaping the personality and behavior patterns of the person.
More Info About My Practice
I work in a private office, which offers prompt individualized attention without having the client spend time sitting in a full office waiting room. This benefit also increases confidentiality. I office online counseling for an additional fee through a HIPAA compliant service. This option can be scheduled by calling or texting me directly. I choose not to bill insurance companies because I believe that individuals should not have restrictions on their mental health services. I can be paid by credit card or cash for our session fees.
My Role as a Therapist
I work to assist the individual in determining what works and what does not work in hisher life. Together we can explore ways to change negative thoughts and behaviors to more positive alternatives. Therapy is a process, and I am the guide to help the individual on hisher own specific journey.
The Duration and Frequency of Therapy
Therapy sessions are individualized and based on the client and hisher needs. Typically clients like to meet on a weekly basis in the beginning. However; since I work privately, I am able to accommodate the unexpected need for last minute appointments when a crisis arises.
