My Approach to Therapy

You're exhausted from holding it all together. Maybe anxiety has you replaying every conversation, you're juggling everything and still feeling behind, or life has shifted in a way that's left you feeling unsteady. I work with teens and adults navigating anxiety, perfectionism, ADHD, and OCD. My clients are often high-achieving people who look like they have it all together on the outside while quietly struggling on the inside. As a recovering anxious perfectionist myself, I know firsthand how exhausting it can be. Getting help isn't a sign of weakness; it's one of the bravest things you can do. When you work with me, we'll slow down enough to figure out what's really keeping you stuck, then build tools that actually fit your life. I draw from several modalities including CBT, DBT, and ACT and tailor everything to you. I am also currently completing advance OCD training because this population deserves a therapist who really gets it. I offer telehealth throughout Illinois, so you can show up to sessions from wherever feels right. Telehealth provides a convenient and effective means to support your personal growth. If you're ready to talk the first step, I'd love to connect.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

You set high standards for yourself and somehow that’s become its own source of exhaustion. Maybe your mind won’t stop, you’re behind on everything despite working constantly, or life has shifted in a way that’s left you unsteady and you’re not sure how to find your footing again.

My View on the Purpose of Psychotherapy

I understand the importance of normalizing mental health treatment. Your feelings are valid, your stories deserve a place to be told, and you deserve a space to navigate your thoughts and work towards mental wellness.

How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist

As a recovering anxious perfectionist myself, I know firsthand how exhausting it can be. I have experienced the expectations so high they are unachievable and the feeling of defeat when I still didn't meet them. I also know how hard it can be to left bar go, and how freeing it is when you finally do.
