Lindsay Shearer, PhD, LCMHC, NCC

I am a licensed clinical mental health counselor with over a decade of clinical experience. I am passionate about providing people with space to share their story, and I am always working to fine-tune my ability to fully hear and respond to that story. My ultimate goal as a counselor is to help people move toward insight, authenticity, and connectedness. I have an eclectic approach to counseling, though my tendency is to understand clients through a psychodynamic lens. I am conscientious about privilege, power, and oppression, and the critical role these forces play for all of us. I am trained in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence-based treatment modality for trauma.
