What's My Approach to Therapy?
Welcome! I use a casual, conversational style in my sessions, which includes taking a holistic approach, talk therapy, visual aids, humor, nutrition, mindfulness, relaxation techniques, and homework if that interests you. I encourage my clients to communicate their needs and expectations for sessions. You are the expert of your life. I'm here to ask compelling questions, add information, and together we can set goals to help you feel more in control of your emotions, relationships, and future. My Practice & Services
Welcome to Creative Counseling Solutions pllc, My office is cozy and casual. I am a very visual person, and you will see visual aids to help you remember key coping skills and concepts. You will always find blankets, water, occasional "healthy" snacks, soothing water sounds, and even an emotional support Cavalier King Charles pup named "Ginger" (if you are comfortable with that). Therapy can be hard in some sessions. I encourage humor where appropriate, it's a great coping skill, and taking time after each session to treat yourself to some self-care to balance out your experience.
My Role as a Therapist
I consider it a blessing to hear your story, I know how hard it can be to share it. I am here to walk along side you and "tweak" the parts you feel are keeping you from living your best life, not change you. You are not broken, all the best parts are there and always have been. Many come in overwhelmed by life, together we pull the pieces apart and look at them one by one. I encourage and cheer you on to motivate you to make the changes you desire. I am action oriented so I hope you leave each session feeling empowered and motivated to work on your personal goals.
