My Approach to Therapy
At times, life can feel overwhelming, disconnected, or uncertain.
You may find yourself feeling anxious, stuck in patterns that are hard to shift, or carrying experiences that still impact how you feel and relate to others. In your relationships, you may notice distance, repeated conflict, or a longing to feel close again.
Whether you’re coming as an individual or as a couple, therapy can be a place to slow down, feel understood, and begin shifting what feels stuck.
I offer online therapy for busy adults and couples in San Francisco and across California, providing a space that is supportive, collaborative, and grounded in helping you move toward feeling more whole.
I work with adults who are experiencing anxiety, trauma, grief, and relationship issues. I specialize in helping older adults, military veterans, and immigrants from all cultures, genders, and sexual orientation.
For couples, you might be feeling like roommates - disconnected. Let's help you reconnect. I work with older couples, military veteran couples, immigrant or bicultural couples, LGTBTQ+ couples, and high achieving couples. I also offer premarital counseling for couples who want to intentionally prepare for a lasting, healthy marriage.
I am a bilingual (English and Spanish) therapist providing online therapy for adults and couples in the San Francisco Bay Area and throughout California. I will walk alongside you as you walk toward feeling whole again. I offer client-centered, trauma-informed, evidence-based, and strength-based care. I draw from acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), internal family systems (IFS), EMDR, and Brainspotting to support deeper healing and emotional safety. For couples I combine various couple therapy techniques including Gottman, Developmental Model, and others.
In my online therapy practice, you will find a safe, supportive, and confidential space where you can focus on what feels most challenging for you in your life. This is a space where you will be heard, supported, and guided as we explore ways to help you grow, heal, move forward with intention, and feel whole again. My Practice & Services
I provide a free 20-30 minute consultation because I want to make sure that you are comfortable with me as I am with you. I want to make sure that I can help you with what you need support with. I also want to make sure that we are the right fit for each other.
During this time, we will also discuss fees, online therapy, how often we meet, and my approach to therapy in relation to your needs. I will also answer any questions that you might have.
Note: Studies show that online therapy can be as effective as in-person therapy.
Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With
I am trained in Brainspotting which is a therapeutic approach that utilizes eye positioning and bilateral music to process trauma and anxiety. By maintaining focus on specific eye positions, clients can process unresolved trauma and other emotional pain. Brainspotting can be an addition to talk therapy and other methods of therapy such as ACT and IFS. I can explain more during therapy.
If you are an immigrant, who is working with a lawyer, I complete immigration evaluations in coordination with your lawyer.
How Psychotherapy Can Help
Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially if you are unsure where to begin. It does not mean that you are broken or flawed. Therapy offers a calm, safe, and supportive space where you don?t have to have the right words or know exactly what?s wrong. You can move at your own pace, talk things through, and feel heard without judgment.
Over time, therapy can support greater self-awareness, emotional relief, and more meaningful connections with yourself and others. It is not about fixing you, but about helping you feel more grounded, empowered, and aligned with the life you want.
A therapist brings human presence, emotional attunement, and professional training to help you notice patterns, regulate emotions, and feel safer within yourself and your relationships. It is a real, responsive relationship where your feelings are felt with you, not just understood. Healing often happens through that human connection.
Important Factors for Choosing a Therapist
Many people struggle with finding the right therapist. I hope this helps you in your journey.
Finding the right therapist is about fit, not perfection. Start by identifying what you would like support with (such as anxiety, relationships, trauma, or life transitions). Look for therapists who specialize in those areas and whose approach and values resonate with you.
Use consultations as a chance to ask questions and notice how you feel with the therapist. Do you feel heard, respected, and emotionally safe? Trust your instincts. Therapy can feel challenging at times, but you should feel supported and understood.
While money is one of the factors in choosing a therapist, do not let it be the deciding factor. The fit is what is important. If you find the right therapist, but cannot afford it, ask the therapist if there is a sliding scale.
The therapeutic relationship is very important for many who are looking for a therapist.
