What's My Approach to Therapy?
It's a challenging time for many, and therapy can provide a grounding space to pause and reflect. My goal is to help you create changes and shifts in your thoughts and habits, with the result of greater peace of mind. Working together to establish an individual treatment plan, I provide emotional support, explore current and past issues impacting one's life, and challenge limiting belief systems. My approach is non-judgmental, compassionate, and curious. I respect each person's unique life path and support clients in noticing and changing patterns that no longer serve them well. I assist in reconnecting you with your inner self, using somatic and mindfulness-based techniques. Modalities may include eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), internal family systems (IFS), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), schema therapy, and art therapy, among others.
