Welcome. I know the decision to come to therapy can be a very difficult one. You need reassurance that you have made the right decision to get outside support, and that I will be the person to best help you. I want you to know that I have a passion for helping others, and strive to make each person feel safe, comfortable and confident in the therapeutic process so that collaboration and healing can occur. In therapy, we will work together to better understand your needs and come to solutions that are manageable and reachable. We will work on developing greater self-knowledge and identify emotional, behavioral, and relational patterns that have gotten in your way and kept you feeling stuck. I will teach you skills that include helping you better regulate your emotions, manage your stress, challenge unproductive ways of thinking, and become a better advocate for yourself.
