My name is Leah Tanui. I am a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)) with over 20 years of experience as a registered nurse across skilled, psychiatric, and acute care settings, including seven years as a Director of Nursing. I earned my Master of Science in Nursing, Clinical Nurse Specialist, from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2003, and I completed a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certificate at the University of Delaware in 2022. For over three years, I have provided comprehensive mental health services to clients in Delaware and Pennsylvania through both in-office and telehealth visits.
My Practice & Services
I work with children and adults across the lifespan, treating behavioral challenges like attention-deficit hyperactivity (ADHD) and autism, mood challenges like depression and bipolar, and psychotic challenges like schizophrenia, among others. I also support clients in treatment facilities with co-occurring mental health and substance use challenges. I use an integrated, patient-centered approach to support wellness and long-term stability.
I am deeply passionate about my work and find fulfillment in helping clients improve their mental health and quality of life. I bring empathy, dedication, and compassion to every interaction. Clients will find in me a good listener who is patient and collaborative, someone who partners with them on their journey toward healing and well-being.
