What's My Approach to Therapy?
I'm Lauren, a mental health therapist passionate about helping children, teens, and young adults navigate life's challenges with resilience and confidence. I specialize in supporting individuals and families who are facing anxiety, stress, overthinking, emotional sensitivity, self-esteem struggles, academic and social pressure, family and relationship conflicts, and life transitions such as starting high school or college.
Parents often come to me when they notice their child or teen feeling overwhelmed, shutting down, or struggling to manage emotions. Young adults and college students seek me out when they feel stuck trying to balance independence, identity, academics, and relationships.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical. I combine evidence-based strategies like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) in conjunction with art, movement, and play. I operate from a strengths-based, trauma-informed perspective and believe that everyone deserves to thrive, not just survive. I tailor treatment to each individual, offering a personalized experience that will help you in building the type of life you want to live. My goal is to not only help reduce distress but to equip children, teens, and young adults with lifelong coping skills and confidence in their own strengths.
Building a safe space for you in the therapy room is my priority, and I welcome you to come as you are.
