My Approach to Helping
Worrying every damn day is exhausting. Let's tackle that together, so you can enjoy what you love most!
Many people I work with tell me their thoughts are a jumbled-up mess that keeps them from living the life they dream of.
Every person has strengths, and we can use them to help you meet your needs. My approach is predominantly Strengths-Based and Solution-Focused, using Acceptance & Commitment Therapy strategies. Still, I will draw on other methods eclectically based on your needs and situation. My goal is for our sessions to bring you relief, even from the first session. I hope you always leave our sessions ready to be kind to yourself.
I have experience helping people from lots of different backgrounds, including families involved with children’s services or juvenile court, inmates in a jail, and residents in a long-term care facility as they struggled with the loss of independence, isolation, and sometimes health concerns. I embrace opportunities to work with people struggling with anger management, communicating with the people in their lives, anxiety, depression, and overwhelm.
