What's My Approach to Therapy?

Are you feeling hurt and confused by a relationship? Are you struggling with pinpointing what the problem is? Do you think that if you just explained things better, things would change? I do this work with a sincere desire to help you find clarity around your relationship dynamics and gain the strength you need to move towards peace, joy, and confidence again. Living in that space of doubt and uncertainty is exhausting and frightening, and your internal compass for safety can feel broken. You don't have to figure this out alone. Recovery is possible in a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space. I understand, and I can help. My focus is on assessing relationship health and healing from the harm and trauma stemming from intimate relationships, family conflict, toxic personalities, co-parenting, employment stress, religious settings, and divorce breakups. I have extensive knowledge and training from leaders in the field, such as Dr. Bessel van der Kolk and Dr. Ramani Durvasula. My approach is trauma-informed and evidence-based. I will patiently and non-judgmentally walk with you as you discover your truth, find your voice, and put into practice recovery behaviors that will keep you on the path that is right for you. Through a trauma-informed lens, you will be heard and validated to help establish a sense of support and safety. Together, you and I will go at your pace, gathering information and identifying your specific problems and goals. If you are patient with the process, it is very likely you will gain the knowledge and strength you need to move forward into a place that works better for you. I will help you heal your wounds, find your voice, speak your truth, and rediscover your authentic self.
