Through counseling children and teenagers, I help clients with behavioral, social, and emotional challenges find more effective ways to express themselves. Clients and families build confidence with my strengths-based approach. I am compassionate and empathetic, but also challenging when necessary. I specialize in play therapy, and use a variety of approaches, including Adlerian therapy, Theraplay, child-centered approaches, Autplay, and sand tray. I am trained in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) and attachment models. These techniques foster expression and encourage children and their families to safely explore their emotions. I can usually schedule a preliminary assessment within a week or two.
