My Approach to Therapy

I am a mental health therapist specializing in teen therapy and support for young adults. Being a teen or young adult can be exhausting. Just because youre young doesnt mean you dont have real struggles, like loneliness, anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, or even hopelessness about whats next in your life. If youre navigating any of these challenges or feel overwhelmed by the transition into adulthood, Ive got your back with anxiety counseling and depression therapy. Im here to truly listen to you and understand what youre going through, from major life events, both good and bad, to small stuff like how your day went. You deserve to be heard and treated with respect, no matter how old you are. Right now, you might be going through a tough time, but I trust that you know your true, authentic self better than anyone else. Thats why my therapy process is flexible and focused on holding space for what you need in the moment, from celebrating life wins and working toward personal goals to processing triggers and past trauma with trauma therapy. I know starting therapy can feel overwhelming. Ive been in your shoes. Thats why its my passion and my mission to help each client feel as safe, comfortable, and valued as possible. Id be honored to be there for you as you take this big step toward the life youre dreaming about.

My Guiding Ethical Principles

I am proud to be a part of a unique team, comprised exclusively of social workers dedicated to social justice and seeing the bigger picture. The structural stuff affects us as individuals, and we understand that. Ala Therapy is an allied, affirming, and safe space for you.
