My Approach to Helping

I believe wholeheartedly in the potential for growth and healing. For many, counseling offers the possibility of meaningful personal and relational change. For others, it offers the realization that by dissolving old patterns of thinking and believing, life is perfect exactly the way it is. My approach is non-judgmental, direct and interactive as I work in collaboration with clients, helping them to navigate what growth, change, and healing is before them in order to experience a greater sense of personal and relational well-being.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

I have worked extensively in the area of mindfulness, as an approach to dealing with anxiety, depression, and anger as well as for some, a practice to integrate into their life. Through psycho-education and experiential exercises, I help clients to increase their ability to be present, empowering them to make clearer choices and have greater personal awareness. As part of teaching mindfulness, I also bring a strong sense of presence to the therapeutic relationship.
